The question was: Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the structure of the speech, including whether the structure makes points clear, convincing and engaging.
I gave this a 2/15:
"It is very effective because of the use of a lot of loaded language which is very persuasive."
"Yes, it is very convincing. He uses strong words, and makes his arguments clear."
I gave this a 8/15:
"The structure of the speech is clear and easy to follow because it flows from one point to the next. This also makes the speech convincing because its points are clear and strong."
"In his speech he makes things clear with the vivid vocabulary, he made it convincing with the logical standpoint he had, and made it engaging with the emotional factor telling everyone enough is enough."
I gave these a 12/15:
"Thomas Paine used some metaphors that made his meaning clear, which was effective. He convinced people by his words about victory and defeat. That even made me want to fight, centuries later. His vivid words with strong connotations, along with various metaphors, were very effective because they left lingering visuals"
"The effectiveness of the structure is good because he uses rhetorical questions, emotional, logical and authoritative appeals, and he also uses parallelism throughout the story which made the passage clear to understand."
