Today, quiz over 5-7.
Next, I want you to start making a plan for your theme project. You've decided WHAT you are doing, now it's time to start figure out HOW.
Go to Google Classroom and re-open that assignment from Tuesday, the Huck Finn Theme Tracker. If you turned it in, it has been "returned" to you. I made a comment next to #6, your project idea.
Work on page four--look at the five objectives, and figure out HOW your project will reach these objectives. You don't have to pick the themes yet. I just want you to start making a plan so when you have work time next week, you can get started.
This document is DUE end of the hour...I want to see the plans you have made. I will make comments and return to you.
Have a great weekend!

Friday, 1.16: Jumping Frog
Today we are going to read together Notorious Jumping Frog of Calaveras County, on page 659 of the textbook.
As we read, keep in mind the characteristics of realism and regionalism and keep a running list on a piece of paper to use when you write the essay next week. I would look for AT LEAST three different characteristic examples. You can use these notes next week.
